Networking Question

I have my wireless router hooked up right next to my modem, and going hardwire to my PC. I want to be able to connect my 360 in my other room, without the need of running any wires. The only thing that I could come up with (that didn't involve moving my modem and pc) was buying another router (or something) that could act as a grabber for my signal, and then plug my 360 into that. What is the actual name for this "grabber"?

PS: Official 360 wifi adapter = to much money

The problem is, almost no consumer-grade access point has that functionality out of the box. You need one that can run custom firmware, like DD-WRT.

I just stumbled upon a the WAP54G, which seems to be exactly what I need. (Correct me if I'm wrong) It also seems to come with a repeated mode enabled. Hopefully this could lead to something

I have a Linksys WGA11B that I use for my Xbox 360. I picked it up for $20. It's discontinued though. I'm sure there are some in the $50 price range just not sure what they are. You have to hand it to Microsoft they love to rape their customers in the behind. NEVER BUY THAT $100 PIECE OF TRASH! or let anyone tell you it's the only one that works cause it's a lie!

Also looked up the WAP54G. It seems to me that is serves a different function. Not 100% on that though.

I don't have a N router, I'm still running G, and it doesn't say anything about being able to run G, or maybe I'm just stupid. haha

EDIT: Looked at the TRENDnet site, and says it will work with G. I guess i'll get this.
