Not sure if this is the right section but anyway.
So i got a dremel today, the 300 series that came with the toolbox and attachments i think it was 55 or something. Cost $170 AUD. Christmas Money.
I got some wood whilst i was at bunnings, im australian, 19mm by 70mm and about 1.5m long.
You may of heard of a guy who did a mod with his eee 4g or 2g or something, turning it into a digital photo frame. I plan to go one step further. I often watch movies of an old blue hp pavillion computer, hence why i call it 'old blue', that sits next to my tv. My mother, im fourteen, keeps complaining that its ugly blah blah... So i want to do the digital photo frame mod and add a touch screen to the frame and a portable hardrive to store movies. Going to get the drop saw out tommorow and cut up my wood.
I will keep you updated and anounce if this fails horribly.

**UPDATE*
Finally got the Mitre Saw out and cut a from to go on the back, its going to be a bit chunky but thats because i want room for heat dispersion.
Here is a few sketchup pictures i'll post proper pictures tomorrow maybe.
From Left to right EEE LCD Screen, Frame, Backboard(goes between motherboard and LCD), Photo Frame

Same sequence as before but with screen in place

The board, it was originally the backing for the frame, actually covers the Hole for the frame, this creates a stable surface for the mobo, there is a hole for the LCD CON to the mobo

The frame will house the mobo with a lot of space for heat dispersion, i plan to mount the fan in a side hole.

This is the motherboard with spaces the spacers are made with screws and those hole filling screw plugs, i don't know what they are called.

I haven't purchased the touch screen yet as i don't have the money. What you see in the sketchup has been done but its late in australia and im too lazy to take photos.
The LCD doesn't create that much heat does it? THeres about the same amount if space as there was in the normal sceen half of the 701.
Will try and update soon, after the weekend because i cant work on it then.
Comments and Criticism?

I wish you had some pix, can't really conclude anything (positive nor negative). Hopefully tomorrow

Ok i took some photos. The mobo will be mounted onto wood that is screwed into the frame. I haven't removed the frame mount thing, the black wood that held up the frame, yet but i will soon.
The hole is where the fan will be mounted i just have to get it cut out with only the dremel, its the only tool available.
**Can'tbe stuffed putting these in chronological order.
