gamecube portable questions

I have 4 questions that I'm sure are simple but I just want to make sure I don't do anything wrong.

1. How can I swap the powerbutton with a switch?

2. How can I make the disc drive run with out lid being closed?

3. Can I get rid of the heatsink and use 3 fans?

4. Does anybody have a collection of diagrams for relocating and wiring different parts?

1) Yes.
2) On the DVD Drive there is a cable going from the board to a little switch. Just bridge the pins on the connector on the board and it will think its always shut.
3) You can slim down the current heatsink and put a fan on top of it.
