its on of the rc car one from radio shack. how long would a 7.2v 2000mah with 3.5 inch tft lcd and n64

That's true. The case is big. However, the actually battery cells only account for about 1/3 of this space. It's really only 4 li-ion cells which are only slightly longer than AA's. The volume therefore is relatively small. However, point taken that Li-polys are smaller overall, but slightly more expensive too. :P

Or you could use two Canon BP-911 batteries, ther are similar size cheap and 2000MAH each.
