How do I keep the A/V out?

Post by pally321 »

I am going to make a nintendo 64 laptop soon and I wanted to know how to keep the original A/V out while keeping it wired to the screen. I'm brand new at portablizing so I wanted to have some help. Thanks!

It's really simple, all you have to do is solder the video signal to a jack of some sort. Like the round ones you see on a tv. It can be connected to the screen and n64 at the same time without any trouble.

I understand that but I would like to know do I solder both a wire for A/V out and a wire for the screen on the the A/V out on the Nintendo 64 mobo or do I put them in different locations.

You can have multiple wires coming off the same point; You'll just need a switch for the ground wire, that will turn your screen off with it hooks up to the TV.

Almost there! All I need to know is where I would solder the wire for A/V out. Also tell me if this sounds right, I would solder the wire for the screen directly to the board.

... I ask a LOT of questions

Yes directly to the component that is connected to the board. And you don't need a switch, it's just optional so you don't have 2 screens on at once.
