One issue with shuttles is sometimes you have to wait a while for them to show up, and if you're not careful you might miss it! (Like a bus) But again, it's free both ways, and with a convention at the hotel they'll probably run a good schedule. So just fly in and you're good!

Side note: there is a new Holiday Inn literally ONE BLOCK from me in Verona. I've often daydreamed about hopping on their airport shuttle, but they probably wouldn't let me

Act as if it's impossible to fail! In other words, do what you want. If they don't like it, show them a portable of yours, and if they think it's a bomb (like Sonyportableizer said happened to him and his parents), roll with it. Any way you shake it, you'll get to ride that shuttle.
