Gamecube with Wii Optical Drive

Hey everyone ... I am new here and I apologize if I am asking something that is totally ridiculous. I am looking to make a GC portable and I was wandering If the Wii Optical drive would wire up to the GC MoBo? Or if the wiring was just too different.

Also I would like to know if anyone has a wiring diagram to wire the controller wires directly to the MoBo? I tried mapping the pins my-self but fear I messed up somewhere lol ...

Welcome to the forums! You cannot use the Wii drive for the Gamecube. They are entirely different.
