So, I drilled the heads off of the inverted hex screws and pulled my N64 apart, Plugged in a copy of starfox and wanted to test to make sure it would work....
No luck, black screen, I looked around, then remembered , I needed a jumper pack!
plugged the jumper pack in the wrong way accidentally, The red light no longer comes on....
I checked the PSU with my multimeter while swearing, there is no voltage coming from it, So I guess that means that it is "sleeping"?
If that is the case then it should work in a couple days when the fuses re-set?

Re: N64 help/Conformation.
Good news, let it rest for a while, Poor little bugger was a little tired and needed a nap.

Re: N64 help/Conformation.
Yes I've done this before. One of the sure things to send your n64 into the infamous sleep mode.
Re: N64 help/Conformation.
I've shorted out my power supply several times before, but unplugging it and plugging it back in did the trick. I have yet to encounter this "sleep mode" you guys mention.

Re: N64 help/Conformation.
When it happens it can take a few minutes to 3 days before the n64 turns back on.
Re: N64 help/Conformation.
"sleep mode" just means you blew out the auto-resetting fuses in the power supply
