Oh yeah! I got a 21" CRT monitor! LCD vs CRT fight!

I use CRT, but LCD is great for portables so I stick to my vote.

I have 2 laptops with LCD (of course), and 2 non-working desktops with CRT. I find that both of m laptops have as good, if not better display than my CRTs. The colour is just a little off, and you have to look pretty much straight on, but both LCDs are top of the line, and handle motion really well. Sometimes if I get tired the LCD is hard to handle, but I always have a CRT if I need it. I like using deul monitors.

I own a CRT monitor, but everytime I get to use an LCD monitor the quality is just amazing compared to my crt. So much sharper, so much crisper. I'll have to vote LCD's just because of that, and that the puddle rippling effect when you touch them is so cool. XD

I only have Crts in the house, unless you count the lappy. but to be honest id rather have a modern lcd for gaming. oh and doofus what you were thinking of is response time not refresh rate. if you look for a nice 17 inch panel with a 12ms response time youre not gonna see any ghosting. without the ghosting issues the only thign really holding back lcds are the colors

Speaking of good tech deals, I bought a 15" LCD monitor for $5 because it had a red tint to it. I didn't get around to fixing it, and just relisted it on the same auction site I bought it from, and got $100 from it. That was definitely the easiest $100 I've ever made

I have a 19" CRT Monitor, it beats playing games on a LCD any day (espically Unreal Tournament), if so, would a motion problem occur with a PSone Screen? As that is what I intend to use on my PortablePC (one of my forthcoming projects.)

i have to go with LCDs...its a energy issue for me....my computer uses so much power i need to even it out some place....although i dont own one yet i will soon

i have a 20 inch dell that people thought was broken aswell, how ever i didnt have to do a thing to it to get it to work....thats the only reason i have held on to it so long

I don't have a PSOne screen, so I couldn't tell you. However, it is an LCD screen, but it may be some special kind, I couldn't tell you. However, to run a PC on one of those is going to cripple you down to 800x600 instantly and you're going to want to increase your default font size (in windows), because I've used my PC on a TV monitor plenty of times and unless it's HDTV, it can't handle the high resolution, and the words become blurred and hard to read.

As of now, we have 2 17" LCDs at home, one on the main comp and one on mine.

At school, we have CRT screens no newer than 8 years old. Some of them have screens that curve so much that the front of the glass is 2" in front of the edges! The only LCDs we have there are the screens built into the "craptops", 10-year-old thinkpads which barely work.

LCD's are definetly better, depending on what kind you get. I have a 17" LCD and it kicks my CRT monitors A$$! The colors are a hell of a lot better on the LCD.
