rikitheshadow wrote:On the topic of burns, I never really use those high heat hot glue guns, bad news. Anyway, my biggest incident with burning myself was in Metal Shop. We had melting pots that we used to liquify pewder in, and course we had an assortment of molds. The popular molds was the chess pieces, and while all seemed fairly easy to cool, except the Rook, which happened to be the thickest of all the pieces. Assuming I knew when it was safe to touch and throw into some cold water, I went to grab for this 500 degree piece of metal and burnt all my right hand finger prints off. One thing to mention about taking care of burns like that is to never fully bandage them, they need to breathe or the pain will become a whole lot worse.

Yeah, I got a new glue gun that is way better! Now I can literally squeeze the glue out into my fingers to mold onto my wires. :P

He was holding the glue gun and about to put some glue on the glue tab we use. He turned to talk to a co-worker not realizing he was squeezing the trigger. Glue poured out over his hand. Third degree burns to the bone in spots. It was ugly. He stayed in the hospital a few days and had to have some surgery later to fix it.
Dude, that's crazy.

Also, you're required to be Christian to be in Boy Scouts :wtf:

A friend of mine was in Scouts forever, but he told me that he just couldn't get Eagle as an agnostic. That's just what I've heard though, YMMV.

Technically you just need to believe in God. Thats it. They do not specify any specific branch or religion. I personally have a lot of problems with Christianity, but no problems with God :)

Right before getting my Eagle rank they asked me about my relationship with God and if I would continue to grow with God. Thats as deep as it got for my board of review.
