Gamecube intec screen problem

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Gamecube intec screen problem

Post by Hifeno »

Hey guys another question. I bought a Intec Gamecube screen for $5 at a thrift store when I got home and hooked it up it came on and worked with one slight problem. There is a perfect horizontal line right though the middle of the screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? If not maybe someone has a extra screen laying around that is missing a board.

Are you powering it with 12 volts? Mine gets horizontal lines through it when you use it with less.

Yes I am powering it with the gamecube power supply. It is not lines it is one line right in the middle of the screen. Looks like maybe some dead pixels.

If there are lines or a line in the screen, that normally means that there is a bad connection between the ribbon cable and the motherboard. Try reconnecting the ribbon cable a couple times.

It's either the ribbon cable not seated properly or a trace is broken in the ribbon cable.

So it could not be a bad line of pixels
