How many Mah does the psone screen take to run?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

How many Mah does the psone screen take to run?

Post by devileyebrows42 »

I am making the hand built playstation from ben's book, but i am worried about frying the PSone screen or breaking the glass while trying to add LEDs. I am using a 6600 Mah infolithium battery to run it. I figured if the system only takes 1 ah to run than the system should be able to last approximately 6.6 hours which is more than i would spend playing it altogether. in addition the screen would have a brighter display. Would it be worth it to keep the screen unmodded?

Well according to this Sticky, the unmodded screen consumes about 700mAh and the PSone consumes about 1Ah. So you would be talking closer to two amp hours.
