Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
Ok so ive been reading ben's book and the forums and it looks like the consensus is to use 4 LED's with seperate resistors on each right? Now is it 33 ohm resistor on each or is it a 10 ohm resistor on each? and which LED is better? I saw someone suggest a different LED than the one in ben's book, but i cant find the post. Thanks for the help
Re: Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
The value of each resistor will change based on your source voltage. Here is a nifty calculator for calculating just that.
http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz
You will need to look up the specs for the specific LED you are using to use that calculator. As far as which LEDs to use, I suggest just searching for some that have a high mcd rating at a wide angle or ones that have a high lumen per watt rating. Digikey is a good place to start looking for those.

Re: Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
would these LED's be too much? I mean they'd come with the resistors for the 5v source of the screen regulator?
Re: Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
what led's?

Re: Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
Yep. I would imagine those would be fine. I used similar ebay LEDs for my project and it was plenty bright. Granted I used six.
Re: Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
on what kind of screen?? and why? and what array?
Re: Help LED modding a PSONE Screen
On a PSone screen, to make it brighter, and I put them in three pairs.
