Help with dvd battery pls

Im new here and need to know if this battery and circuit are safe (is the board a PCB)?

The battery is from a portable dvd, Li-ion 7.4v 4400mah.

Any help with a suitable charger would also be appreciated

I would assume they would be safe to use as long as you are sure you didn't damage the batteries or that protection circuit. As for what charger to use, I would suggest trying to find one that was meant to charge that particular battery pack. I am sure a quick search of the name of that portable DVD player would yield that.

And yes, that protection circuit is a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). Or Preforming Circus Baboons, take your pick.

I have the charger that goes with the battery pack. But theres no way of knowing when the battery has finished charging, all the little indicator lights and stuff are in the dvd player itself?

any idea?

use a multimeter. if your cell is putting out like 8.5 volts, its prolly full.

can you tell from the pics which pins are + and - and which are for the charger?

in theory, red is positive, black is ground, and grey is monitor, but i would check with a multimeter to be sure.
