you 100% need that piece for the regulator to bring the voltage down. It only costs a couple bucks max. You can find 100uf caps in a lot of electronics. why not open up some old junk electronics an look for one?

The cap. doesnt say any voltage. whow much do i need ?

Anything higher than the very max voltage that will go into it. The higher the voltage, the larger the capacitor will be. If you have a 7.4v battery, then a 10v capacitor should be fine. You can play it safe with something higher. I used a 36v on mine because that's what I had.
