Neither of them are very big, but both will work. For the NiMh you will need to get two and a special charger, for the lithium one you don't have to get anything and lithium ion/polymer takes up way less space than nimh.
depends,,, on my pal board running a 1.8" screen it draws 750ma with the jumper pack, running a psone screen itll probs be more like 1-1.2A which means bout an hour and a half

Scroll down to n64, with an led modded psone screen it'll last only 2.5 hours with a 5.5 amp battery. If you want 3 hours of battery life, then get a battery with 6.5 amps. Good luck!

my n64 setup is hooked up through a ti 3v regulator, and the 12v line and the power line for the screen going to the one plug. (for the charging port) i took the battery out of the equation and measure the amperage by taking off the ground wire from the port and used my multimeter
(amp meter) to complete the circuit. turning on the n64 and the screen it says its drawing 750ma, the n64 and screen is running fine.

If you are using a NTSC console, which has the same draw as Mario's try using a battery, use with about 5000mah. That should be able to power your n64 and a screen for about 3 hours.
