help need to know how to connctect controller to snes!

i need to know how to connect it without going through the regular connector. it does not work with out the connector contacts. id put up a picture but i dont know how....

Solder wires from the controller to the SNES motherboard.

i did that, worked on it for hours, and i was connecting it right. when i connect the controller connector board to it, then plug the other controller to that, poof! it works, then the soldered controller still doesn't work, and it is connected right.

A) Work on your soldering skills, that's VERY short prone.

B) You didn't have that separate board sitting on it when you tested it did you? Shorts would be happening if you did.

there were no shorts and i had been solder ing and desoldering the wires all night trying to get them to work, otherwise it would look better.

i just cant figure it out once, i ran it through the brass thing, and it worked, then i thried to make it better, and it didnt work, didnt ever work after either.

yeah, it looks like brass, is connected between the wires and the board in the middle. i had 5 of thos connected and it worked fine. then one broke, and i couldnt get it to work..

i figured it out. heres a list of events leading up to this point:
ebay page: official nintendo snes controller used. 8$ buy it now
it gets to my house: what the heck? this isnt nintendo. well, it should work.
connect controller to system- doesnt work.
work on that for hours- still doesnt work
start this topic- doesnt work
next morning: works for about 5 min.
that evening: tear apart real snes controller, works on first try.
im mad but happy at the same time, mad because i wasted $8, happy because im finnaly done wihth that stupid controller.
moral of story: 3rd party controllers do not work w/ official nintendo products.
problem solved....... now i wait for screen to get here.
