How to re-connect motherboard of a controller

If I want to cut some of my controller if so I can attach it later in my portable...how do I re-attach it? I'm trying to do it with an n64 controller...can anyone help?

Just wire it directly to the motherboard.

Ok...but how? If I beak of the a,b, and cpad if n64 controller...wat do I suader the wire to on the broken if part...and the motherboard?

You want to split the controller board?

Just cut it (don't cut thorough any components), then reconnect the broken traces with wire.

EDIT: Or figure out what pins on the encoder chip which buttons connect to, and make your own controller board from switches. It's cleaner but more complicated.

Or use two controllers. Split one , then wire everything back to the other :)
