So this is the worklog of my steampunk n64. I plan on using typewriter keys as buttons, for the c buttons I will use ULRD and the A and B buttons will also be from the same typewriter. The Z and R triggers will be the two space keys . I plan on frankencasing a zn40 from polycase.com. I also plan on making a faceplate out of model aircraft brass.
Well, I just found out the measurements from the N64 board, it seems to be 6 1/4" across, and 5" up and down, With some minor trimming the motherboard should be able to fit in an AG-85 case. I need to get some white paint and a very fine hair paintbrush and touch up the letters on some of the keys, I tried putting the large space keys on the back of the portable for the Z and R triggers and the dip in the key seems to fit in my finger quite well, I am defiantly using the typewriter keys, they are very comfortable. Because everything will be so crammed I will have the Fan from a mutilated Dreamcast and the original N64 case fan one pulling air in, one pushing air out. batteries are a problem, I am most likely going to have to extend the back of the case out a little bit to make up for the batteries and cartridge slot. For batteries I am going to use two 7.4 volt 4000Mah Li-ion Batteries This one http://www.batteryspace.com/li-ion18650 ... arger.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and for the second battery (the same W/O smart charger) http://www.batteryspace.com/li-ion18650 ... thpcb.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Oh and, I got a jorb!

Re: Steam64! New portable+Worklog!
I think I found out what I am going to do with the Case itself, I am going to use Microballons to attach the bottom handle portions of a non-working Quantum fighterpad for dreamcast to the bottom of the case, This will give me room to put the batteries and Controller board. I noticed from reading some other worklogs that the PSone screen will not fit in an AG-85 without and LED mod, I am Not planning on doing one of these for the time being, but maybe sometime in the future. Anyway, i will have to use Bondo Or Microballons to Glue the top of the psone Screen case to the top of my Now very mutilated Ag-85. The cartridge will most likely Slide down the back between the Controllers handles.

why are you using 2 of thoughs batteries? you could run it off of just one and at that size your looken at a pretty big portable.
