SNES Phat Board Layers

Post by Erlex »

So does anyone know how many layers the SNES phat has? I know it has that weird brown layer on the bottom. But is there only one layer under that?

it's two sided and can be cut down very much. That is why I will be using this over the snes mini.

Cool thanks. I was just wondering because I might try and redesign a smaller PCB for this board if it is only two layers. But I am not sure if it is worth it considering the Retro Duo's board is almost exactly the same size as the SNES cartridge. And that is about the size I would want to make the SNES phat board.

Imagine the money you'd be making from selling of the mini boards.
Just transplant the components from your original SNES to the board and presto, you've got yourself a SNES micro.
