Broken Wii... help?

MY wii wont read any disks. i was playing mario kart then stopped. an hour later none of my games worked.. not even gamecube. i put the disk in right and they are all clean. it makes this weird noise like it cant catch the disk and it wont spin. the disk comes out the same way it went in.. HELP! :shock:

i do NOT wanna fork over the 80
4 for nintendo to fix it. :?:

Probably then only thing you can do is tweak the pot a bit. :

It's a bit of work to get to it , not an easy thing to do if you are not handy capable.

Well im only 13 and my parents wont let me take it apart........ :(

I did stick a butter knife in it and it worked for a little bit but then i moved it and it didnt work......

Well, I do repair them on the side but if you want I have guides on how to repair and trouble shooting...stuff like that but it is easy to do.

Sorry to double post but now that I am thinking about it. I think that your drive may need to be reset. Which is basically go into the system, bend clips, and "fiddle with the drive" sometimes one or two of the gears are off set or you may need a new motor for the drive which is cheap like 10 bucks.

If you are not allowed to take it apart, there is very little you can do. Do you have homebrew enabled? If so, try one of those lens cleaning CDs you can get for CD players at the drugstore, and use the Audio CD player homebrew.

MPlayer. And if you don't have homebrew on your Wii, watch this video. Although that's an old version of the Twilight Hack and Homebrew Channel, it's the same process. There's also a hack called Bannerbomb, but I'm not in a video for that one. :P
