using psp batteries for psp portable

hi i just got the bright (hopefully) idea of using psp batteries to power my ps2p.

i can get ones that are 3600 mah, and i was wandering if i get four of them, with 2 series to get 7.4 volts and then put those is series to get 7200mah, would that be a good idea? i have a psp so charging would be not too hard; if anyone has tried something like this or has any tips post away!

oh, and you would connect these in series and parallel just like NiMh right? is there any special wiring i have to do with Li Ions?

all things considered thats actually not a bad idea, the only problem is, psp batteries are designed on a software level to interact with the psp, so as long as your sure you can implement them directly into the ps2 mobo it should work. also, you do know a ps2 takes 8.5 volts right??

i managed to get it to work!! it seems the 7900 models CAN work with 7.4 volts... the disk loads a bit funny but it works

but i have to power the psOne screen separately it seems... i think i need more battery, i only tested with 2 psp 2000 batteries i have in the house.
can anyone tell me why i cant power them together?? im new to all this lol

damnt it i broke the cable connecting the disk drive to the mother board with hot glue gun..... fUUUUUUUUUUUU**

sigh, well make sure its the newst ps2, the one with built in ac adapter; when u open that one, the mother board is smaller, lighter, and has four wires in which the two white is positive and two black is negative. put the battery in series and hook up to the ps2.

let me know how urs go, i gotta find another ps2 9000 somewhere...
