I have a modded ps2 that has a loose or worn out a/v socket. i don't want to go near trying to replace the socket. i don't think its going to break on me anytime soon as i have been disconnecting the cable every so often. i was having a lot of trouble with a monster svid cable loosing connection before i had a hdtv. i would like to prevent further damage by getting an a/v extension cable with an actual ps2 a/v socket on the end.
do these cables exist?
or perhaps i could make an extender cable by using a socket from a broken ps2 and soldering it to some ps2 cable ends. i would need all the connecting pins so i guess this won't work since rgb or componant cables may have missing pins and won't have all connecting pins needed to make one cable to have componant and rgb in one.
my current setup is hdtv (componant cable), seperate large rgb monitor (rgb scart cable) and i would like to switch between the two. i mainly use the hdtv but would like the option to use componant or rgb and would like an extension cable for ease of swapping and to save my a/v socket from further damage.
any help is appreciated.
