Problem with Genesis AV Audio

Post by Hifeno »

I have a Genesis 2 I picked up for 2 dollars at a flea market. It did not come with power or av cables. So I used a 6 volt power supply and modded av jacks to motherboard. The video works flawlessly, but when I plug in the audio I get this loud humming noise. The sound still works but you can still hear that hum in the background. Anyone have a clue on what I can do to fix this.
That's Hacking Awsome

It uses 2 lm7805 so don't you need at least 7,5v?

Use a 9v DC power adaptor, 6v is too low for the genesis 2's 7805 regulate the voltage properly. Thus causing a hum from the linear power supply that your probably using. Any voltage from 7-12v will be ok.
