Of course everybody misspells a word or two every once in a while, and everybody has punctuation/grammar errors, but using numbers for letters, making abbreviations is also ok, but only if they're official abbreviations or commonly excepted abbreviations like Lol, AFAIK, or IRL. Nonstandard abbreviations include plz, pl0x, nvr. People respect you if you show enough respect to use proper spelling and grammar. It's not hard, and it takes the same amount of time to do it either way.
valid argument as well, but reiteration.

I mean, we've posted plenty of reasons why people should post in normal English, but you haven't said anything about why crappily written posts are ok (besides being able to read words with the inner letters mixed up).
I agree with vskid. Pretty much everyone here seems to think that at least trying to use proper spelling and grammar is worth the small amount of effort that it takes, except for you. As a result, you're coming off very much like a troll, especially when you ignore the arguments of others and don't put forth any reasoning yourself. If this topic is to remain open, I think people need to stop slinging insults and actually discuss the issue.
I haven't ignored other arguments. My reasoning may not be as deep as you'd like: bad spelling/grammar is not worthy of complaints. Even if I can't read a post I won't get mad or complain. I might ask the person to rephrase or fix spelling (politely). Thats my thesis gentleman. If you don't like this show, THEN CHANGE THE CHANNEL. ;)

or, whoever has the freakin remote can turn off the TV all together. I really don't care

EDIT: I just thought of an easy way to crush my thesis ;) its up for grabs

What is your goal here? Some people are bugged by it, and they have some good reasoning. Some people, like you, are not annoyed by it. If you are not annoyed, why have this discussion? Are you annoyed when we tell people to speak better?

See, I have a problem with people who have a problem with me telling people they have a problem with English. I am the king of the internet, so what I says goes. And if you have a problem with it, it is because you are wrong. If you say anything in response that has ever been said in this thread, even if a good point, it is invalid, because it has already been said, and because I say so.

I just thought of an easy way to break my argument. Oh wait, it relies on me always being right, and assuming that this is a matter of black and white, and not of individual opinion. As you know, only my opinion matters.

Period.

End of story.

My opinion is the only right opinion.

Palmertech...did I hurt your feelings? Did you then start to judge me as an arrogant jackass? Did you further resort to bitterly lashing out at someone you don't even know?

Well, maybe this topic SHOULD be locked (seriously). I guess people are starting to get offended and annoyed by my opinions. I apologize to anyone that I have hurt. I love this site, and therefore I love YOU.

BANG (read very first post)

My feelings are not hurt. For someone to do that, I need to care what they say.

I judged you a while before my post, my post is a direct result of that.

I did not bitterly lash out at anyone. :? Look, it is very clear that you are just trolling, and your lack of actually wanting to discuss this, and your own self admission that you just love to argue, or in the case of your "girls on benheck thread, that you created it "for entertainment". You match the precise definition of a troll, and what you are doing is trolling.

If you wish to insult me, try doing it with facts instead of spin.

This is EXACTLY why people are judging you as an arrogant jackass, because you are BEING ONE. Don't just respond like an idiot and deflect to some random subject to avoid addressing our posts, ACTUALLY RESPOND or don't post at all.

Seriously, this is a really dumb subject to start an argument about.

Kinda like the voting rigging. Why not just have a re-vote, right?
