Is there any advantage to posting horribly written posts? Besides catering to those that never made it past the second grade. I mean, we've posted plenty of reasons why people should post in normal English, but you haven't said anything about why crappily written posts are ok (besides being able to read words with the inner letters mixed up).

I agree with vskid. Pretty much everyone here seems to think that at least trying to use proper spelling and grammar is worth the small amount of effort that it takes, except for you. As a result, you're coming off very much like a troll, especially when you ignore the arguments of others and don't put forth any reasoning yourself. If this topic is to remain open, I think people need to stop slinging insults and actually discuss the issue.

tl;dr The best way to get important people to pay attention to you or to have friends on the internet is to use proper spelling and grammar. Of course everybody misspells a word or two every once in a while, and everybody has punctuation/grammar errors, but using numbers for letters, making abbreviations is also ok, but only if they're official abbreviations or commonly excepted abbreviations like Lol, AFAIK, or IRL. Nonstandard abbreviations include plz, pl0x, nvr. People respect you if you show enough respect to use proper spelling and grammar. It's not hard, and it takes the same amount of time to do it either way.
