i have been trying to get 3.3v out of the texas instruments chip, but i am currently having little or no success. could i buy a 3.3v regulator?
would either of these work?

The first one may work, the second won't be able to push enough juice (it's also a linear regulator, which means it'll waste lots of power)
Make sure you're wiring the TI reg up right.

i'm sure the chip is wired correctly, and i've tried both of the texas instrument chips, so the only thing that could be wrong with it is if one of the other components is not working properly
