Hi Folks
When building a PS360 controller for a friend I might have messed up a tiny little bit... While desoldering the pots went smoothly (although it was admittedly not the easiest thing) I destroyed component labelled RT3 on the controller board.
Now if anyone can identify this part (it's value) for me or can even tell me if there's a way around replacing this tiny little SMD dust particle of a component it would be very much appreciated.

edit: and if anyone has an awesome idea about the connector mess I've made that will avoid me applying sticky superglue to tiny soldering points that will break due to tinyest pressures... bring it on...

RT3 is a Thermistor, and you should really get a replacement from another controller board as to keep it from drifting on you. You could get away with sticking a 7.5k Resistor in there, but again it could end up drifting on you when the thing warms up.
For the connector mess there you have the DR and COM1 spots torn up, just use the TP spots on the back of the board instead, TP49 for DR and TP25 for COM1. No reason to use super glue either, just a dab of hot glue on the wire (not on the solder joint in case you have to go back to it) will hold it in place, and if you solder it up right to begin with no glue will be needed at all.

Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
