If I were you I would put the joystick were the d-pad is.

Won't your other hand be close to the joystick? I mean you use the joystick the most so, put it in a better postion.

just make a switch to switch between L and Z
some games actually use it lol

Instead of taking a picture of your screen, just save the file... Make sure you change it to jpeg instead of bitmap, bitmaps are huge.
