Okay! The screen finally came! It is SUPER light and VERY small in terms of mobo. Fairly simple circuitry might I add. I will post pics probably tomorrow.

I do have a few simple questions though:

I am pretty sure it is NTSC compatible since the description says it has an auto switch...?

It has 3 wires: red, white, yellow BUT the red one is a male end and the white and yellow are female ends..... 0h and the red male end has another plug that goes into it and has two exposed wires for the DC power I assume (see link for pictures)?

The Yellow and White wires are AV correct?

How can I put RGB into this screen or do I need to just magically find it on the board? Are there any indications of where on the board? Or I will settle for S-video if I cannot do RGB.

Red is power. Yellow and white are the 2 video inputs. You'll just have to open it up to see if RGB will work.

If the red plug is female then it's the power plug. Stick a wall wart in there (make sure the adapter is right polarity, center tip positive)
Yellow is composite video, White is left channel audio.

There's a small chance it can be used with RGB. But since my crystal ball ain't working you'll need to post up the part numbers on all of the chips. Then I'll do some googling and see if it's doable.

If you are able to get a good, clear, high-res picture of the PCB where parts are readable, that would work too.

The open holes on the PCB is likely a jtag connector used during manufacturing, and the 27.000 crystal is a 27mhz.

I will admit I am not sure how to change it to the 2 analog RGB but I'm an idiot because I can't even get RGB from the gamecube unless I buy a 60 dollar cable

But I will definitely use the S-video, but I am not sure how to hook that up from the screen to the gamecube (I am still reading through the datasheets).

The chip supports composite video, S-video as inputs, and also 24-bit digital RGB and component. The chip outputs analog RGB but it doesn't support analog RGB input.

The chip has a 8051 MCU inside it that reads a config from an external EEPROM upon boot. You'll need to dump this eeprom and figure out the bytes you change to get it to switch to S-video (in the datasheet, but I have to leave for work)

i bought the same screen twice, both from same seller.

guess what... the first with the TECHWELL IC is fine, but the image is
too much "sharpened" (looks like Photoshop filter) but otherwise
a nice screen. maybe i need to reprogram the I2C EEPROM or
attach a 12C508 to re-program the sharpness register.

the new batch is a piece of CRAP - i don't recommend it anymore.
