WTB: War memorabilia

Post by gamemasterAS »

I really want some inert ammo like artillery shells and stuff and WWII helmets. Anything you have would probably interest me though.

Edit: Also who's got coins they don't want?

Well, thats debatable. It is a non traditional setting such as a leather (deteriorating) scabbard, but its also a non shin gunto sword which was the standard issue for ww2. The blade has no serial number, another aspect thats common among issued swords. Also I replaced the mekugi (the bamboo splint that holds in the blade to the tsuka "handle") and saw that theres no inscription. The sword has been used for its intended purpose, as it does have a few knicks in it a a bit of kizu. Interestingly enough it does have the black splotches along the cutting edge, which I believe to blood. Most Shin gunto swords go for around $200 and up, this one as it was very different I paid $600 for.

I'm more into US war stuff so that's a bit to much for me to spend on something non US. Thanks for posting though.
