Post by jlemonie »

Hello people, this is my first post :D , I found the forum searching for a tuto for making a A/V cable for sega genesis 2,( mega drive 3 Tec Toy, I live In Brazil ) I want to do a direct cable, solder the cable direct on the board, but I don´t know where I go to solder, I want do a cable with estereo sound, I tried to do based on this pic http://img470.imageshack.us/i/pinout3wy.jpg/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I solder the ground in one point only, and I don´t remove the A/V out.

please someone, know what I can do to make this cable ?

thanks man, I try to solder following your guide, but the image don´t appear on TV , I need to remove the A/V out to work ? and sorry for a noob question, but I need do solder the comp. video with anothe point ? I was thinking the video chip is broken, and even with RF don´t appear the image, or a Tec Toy hardware is different ? i think not sure.

You're just going with composite right?

Yellow - Video
Redish/Brown - Right Audio
White - Left Audio
Black - Ground

Should be enough.

Are you sure you are looking at it the right way? I don't remember if that schematic is from the topside or the underside.

yes I going righ, I soldering the video comp. and ground and test it but don´t appear image on the TV , and I look from underside of the mainboard, you saw the numbering print in the topside? on the Macro photo ? they have a diferrent sequencial number.and other question I need to solder another point with the video? because ai look one mono cable and the have 4 point with the ground, AUDIO, VIDEO, GROUND and what another point ?

thanks
