Re: Post your Ride! (56k beware!)
I bought a 1990 Jeep Comanche a few weeks ago. 4l straight 6, 5 speed, 4wd (originally 2wd). The body and engine are original, the transmission, transfer case, and the rest of the driveline are from a '93 Cherokee. It has about 5" of lift. I haven't been able to drive it because I need a job to pay for insurance. The front suspension needs some lovin, thats what you get when you buy a modified vehicle. Also needs some bigger tires and different rims so it doesn't look stupid, but the ones on it will do until I get some money. I'll probably do some stuff to help the aerodynamics so the mileage isn't as sucky.

Once you have some scratch, you should retrofit some of the newer (97-01) XJ bodywork to it. Make it into what it could have been if Chrysler hadn't prematurely axed it in favor of the Ram 50 / Dakota.
Wow. According to Wikipedia, they still make the old XJ platform Jeeps in China (the Liberty is completely different), just with a new front end. If you could get your hands on some of those parts, that would be something.

Re: Post your Ride! (56k beware!)
Just picked this up. Its a Toyota Corolla AE86/ Sprinter Trueno 86. Such a beautiful car. Its *the* drift car. (Although, I adore it for reasons other than drifting.
)
Its got around 210,000 kilometers on it, and has been in a small 20/km bumper accident, but I can BUFF that out
. Its in a little bit of rough condition, but I have a few mechanic buddies.
Got it for $2000 CAD.
Features:
Brembo front rotors, Bradi rear rotors, Hawk HPS brake pads
whiteline stabilizer bars
carbon fiber hood
Battery put in on dec 2008.
Radiator put in jan 2009
Sparco Seat
New break lines.

Just needs a good cleaning, a new bumper, and some new front speakers. (I think those replacements just look wrong.)

Nice AE86, are you going to leave it N/A or add forced induction?

Re: Post your Ride! (56k beware!)
Lol @ bic.
Bic this is an AE86. I'm leaving it black and white, mostly stock. The only thing different will be engine tune ups. I dont know if I'll leave it N/A or not. And yea, speakers will be changed.
Basically, when I'm done with this car, it will look the same but just in better condition, and it will be faster. (Gonna throw a skyline turbo in it. Mmm )
