Trying to replace analog stick

Post by limpport »

I bought this third party controller:

I'm planning on using a psp stick to replace the stick in it. However, I'm having trouble hooking it up. I opened up the analog stick it came with, and it looked similar to the 1st party controller's. It attaches by 4 wires, like in this terribly made MS Paint drawing:

Any suggestions? Has anyone used this controller yet?

look to see if one of the connections between x and y is the sam like x y and ground or somethng, if the original analog stick is a massive one then its probably a clone of the one ive got, see this link:

The original analog stick is massive, like the one from a 1st party controller, only it connects with 4 wires. I'll try to find connections between wires on the board, and look through your topic. Thanks!
