I'm surprised nobody's made a topic about it yet....

Today's the release day! I know people have had it before today, but what do folks think of it?

I can confirm that it works with Bootcamp! (Macbook early 2009). Somehow the video card driver didn't install, but when I ran an update, the driver was there at the top of the list!

Been running the RC for a few months now. Time for a retail install I suppose.

Been running Win7 Pro x64 on my desktop for two months now (yay MSDNAA). I kept forgetting that the rest of the world didn't have it yet.

I got no problems yet, I've had it for a month, light years ahead of vista, makes XP look like DOS.

Running the RC on my new computer since I built it in August. I agree, it makes XP feel antiquated.

I've had it for ages as well and recently reinstalled it when I got a new motherboard and processor. Its great and definitely is an improvement over Vista.

The beta and RC versions have been out for a while, and people who subscribe to some Microsoft services (Technet and MSDN I think) could get the final version a couple months ago. Today is its final release as retail boxed copies and preinstalled copies on OEM PCs.

MSDNA is the only good thing that has come out of being an engineer for me so far...
7 is such a tremendous step ahead from Vista

I installed the x64 Ultimate version about a week ago and I like it and all, but honestly see minimal difference between it and the x64 Ultimate version of Vista that I had been running for the last year.

I've had the actual thing, not Beta or RC.

I got the RC, but I switched to XP. It really was not compatible with enough programs.

any examples? i was running beta 7000 and i cant think of any programs that i regularly used that had compatibility issues

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition that came with my party pack and now my laptop will only recognize the usb ports (i.e.be able to actually use them) if I re-install the usb drivers in safe mode.

Even then they will only work for a few hours.
