I've been sick all weekend and Monday, and I'm still getting over it. I wasn't able to work on it during that time. But, I'm starting again, and today I added some bondo to the handle and will sand it once it's dry.
I've been working on the electronics, and I ran into a snag. The controller uses 10k pots but the joystick uses 100k ones. How do I make this work?

I think you put a resistor on the ground line of the joystick, before it gets to the ground. Someone had a similar problem, but I can't remember what forum it was posted in...

A little update - I applied and sanded the filler:


Then did a rough painting to see what it'll look like:



The blue is a good color, it looks really nice. It still needs more filler and tons of sanding, but even at this point it's amazingly comfortable to hold. It's great!

okay so controller uses 10kohm and joystick uses 100kohm, then i think you put a resistor on the joystick from the x/y to the ground, so 90kohm (100-90 = 10) resistor from ground to the x/y pot should work....i think

See, even though the pots are 100k, they still work when hooked up, just abnormally. Or so I thought, because when I attached the original joystick, it does the same thing. In both cases, the joystick moves at normal speed when going left and down, but superspeed when going right or up. If anybody has this kind of Superpad 64, could you tell me if yours does that, too?

The old SuperPad was better! I think it's older... It doesn't have the turbo thing.. But anyway, it's better!

that seems to happen with any n64 controller when you hook up different pot's with different resistance,

How about this? Forgot that it was left-handed. Just flip the L button to the other side. You might also be able to put the R-button there too.

This has been my ideal one-handed controller vision since I heard about ben's one-handers. If I had the money I'd make this thing in a heartbeat.

Mario seems to be M-I-A. Problem I have is my son overheard my wife and I talking about it and is now asking daily, hourly when it is coming. Our mistake. He is like that whenever we order anything for him online.
