Ive ordered my batterys off ebay and my dc/dc converter from TI. I am currently working on the controller aspect of my portable which will be attached to the main unit. I need to make an Imageshack account or something of the like tomoro to upload the photos ive taken so far. Ive played around with quite a few electronic gizmos so im fairly handy with soldering and reading diagrams so it hasnt been too hard reading up on the forum to figure out what i need to do.
Photos UPLOADED!!! (sorry took them with iphone so they kinda small)
This is the case i will be modifying to use for my Portable!

Now gutted case

This is the screen ill be useing and where it will go

The screen and screen controls in place(need to add 2 more holes for volume

The cartridge hole has been cut on the top

Sadly i had to solder the cartridge slot

Conveniently the cartridge slot fits very nicely into the case

Next Step is to connect the audio/video and wait for my battery from china. that and my free dc/dc converter.
Note: i did test the audio/video before i removed the power port and it did work tho i forgot to take a pic for you guys.
my batteries are 7.2v 3800mAh x2 i will be useing the second for next portable project if and when i do it.
Update: Got a temp battery from my brother that will last about 20 mins
Controller is now about 50% done just need to solder them to controller board and glue them in place and ma battery just came in which i forgot about the fact that they take up space.....
so yea im either gonna tape battery on the back of portable or something else just as ugly.....
Actually just had a bit of a idea where battery sticks out of portable at a angle could look good ill set up some new pics tomoro.
