where to wire in power switch

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

where to wire in power switch

I've been looking at harshboys complete wiring diagram and i can't figure out on it there the power switch comes into play. any help would be, well, helpfull.

the power switch is best where there is only one wire. It's common to wire it on the positive line from the battery before it splits to different parts of the portable, or on the negative line right before it goes back to the battery.

that's what i figured i'd do, but another question is how do i recharge it without having to take it apart and pull the battery? I am assuming if i just splice in the connector to the battery pack and plug it into a charger into the wall, it'll probably explode my n64p. what do i do about this?

Usually you take a power jackand wire that into your system. It's different if you're planning to use a lithium battery or something else. Lithium batteries will need a protection circuit attached to it and needs to be charged with a smart charger, so that it doesn't explode.
