PS1 battery

I've done a bit of research and have decided to start work on a PS1 portable, and i know most of the components I need and have a rough design planned out. However the one thing that always confused me is what battery to use? I have a 7.2V 3800mAh NiMH battery from a portable dvd player, would this be enough to power the PS1??
