Freecycle = great source for free electronics

Hey guys I'm new here but have been lurking off & on for some time now. My wife had been using freecycle, so I decided to sign up w/ my local freecycle group. I'm assuming some of you @ least have heard of it and/or use it.

In case you haven't heard of it, it's basically a yahoo group you sign up w/ & each chapter/group in your area has specific rules for posting up "WANTED" or "OFFERED" items. It's basically for people that want to get rid of stuff they don't want to throw in the garbage, or you can post certain items that you are looking for.

Anyways I'm picking up a Phillips portable dvd player later on today from someone. It sounds like the hinge is broken and the screen stopped working, however the A/V out still works as a standalone dvd/cd player. Plus it has an SD card slot & the AC adapter also. I figured for free I might as well snag it & see what I can use the screen for.

I currently have 4 NES's laying around as well as 2 SNES's. As soon as I figure out the pinout the portable dvd player, I'd like to start working on designing a portable NES or SNES.
