Schematic reading question

I have found when reading schematics, there seems to be a "break" in a connection, where another wire runs out of it. Does this mean I need to attach a wire to a wire? Or do I just make another wire running between the two connection points? I know this may be a noob question... but I am a noob lol. Much appreciated if you could enlighten me!

Are you talking about when you have a line, and then an arc going over that line?

That means they don't connect, but they have to cross for notation purposes.

There is a connection coming off the battery, then there are other connections coming off of this line. Does that mean you must connect a wire to the wire?

Oh. Yeah, it means they're connected together. You can also just solder two wires to the battery.
