Looking for Netbook
I'm looking for an extremely small netbook. I've also only got under $200 to spend. Can anyone point me out to a good one for that, or if you possibly have one let me know. Thanks!

Re: Looking for Netbook
Try an Asus EEE PC 900 on ebay
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=asus%2 ... &_udhi=200
They're just under $200.
They have a 900Mhz Processor, 1 Gig of Ram, 16GB SSD, Widescreen
They're basically good for browsing internet, typing... that sort of thing.
If you're not looking for anything fancy that's the thing to get. (I bought one)

Re: Looking for Netbook
Does anyone have dimensions of it?. It just needs to be good enough for Internet, typing, Youtube, and possibly NES Emulation.

Re: Looking for Netbook
You know, all netbooks are about the same size. Really, go on newegg, compare a few models, and the all the dimensions will probably be within a cm of each other. Heres the EEE dimensions. A little research never hurt anyone.

Re: Looking for Netbook
hackmodford (Or anyone else who has it/used it) How much smaller is it compared to a dell vostro 1000 laptop? Also how is it compaired to the HD Mini 1110NR?

Re: Looking for Netbook
If you're used to the vostro, it'll be a ton smaller. The vostro has a 15" screen, while an EEE 900 has a 9" screen. From the top, the EEE is half the size of the vostro (the way that is more square, not the really wide half). The HP is probably a bit bigger than the EEE 900, but thats just going off the size of the bezel. I think the EEE 900's are some of the smallest 9" netbooks.GoldenfrankO wrote:hackmodford (Or anyone else who has it/used it) How much smaller is it compared to a dell vostro 1000?
My brother has a 9" EEE, and it makes even my 12" laptop look big. Really, you must not have seen one in real life. Go to Walmart, they should have a netbook on display.

Re: Looking for Netbook
I guess I'll see if they have them. No I havn't seen it in real life so Im not sure. What's my best option, size wise?

Re: Looking for Netbook
Ya, you just can't appreciate how small they are until you see one.
If you want a 9" screen, the EEE 900 is probably the smallest (I haven't checked in a while, though). The 7" EEE uses the same case as the 900, so you won't save any space getting a 7". And because the EEE's are the oldest netbooks, they'll probably be cheapest.

Re: Looking for Netbook
My eeepc 900 will do NES emulation decently and even SNES emulation decently. Couple frame skips here and there but otherwise okay! (regarding NES) It can even play Planet Penguin Racer with I think 15FPS. An Eee PC 900 should be perfect for your needs.
