Re: are other people being redirected by ads?
I have yet to have been redirected using either Firefox 3.5.x w/Adblock or Opera 10 with no modifications.
EDIT: as for locations, Firefox from France via a proxy, and Opera from the USA.

As I've said earlier, maybe it depends on where in the world you're situated? From now on, specify where you live, as well as your browser and maybe we can find a pattern.
Sweden, FF3.5.3, no adblock, have not yet been redirected.

I just hit something today. FF 3.5 with AdBlock in the US. It kept trying to redirect me, but none of the domains are approved by the firewall here at work, so it couldn't actually go to the page.
This post brought to you by David Duchovny's glorious nipples.

FF 3.5.3 with Adblock Plus (in California, though I highly doubt that's relevant). No redirections.

I just got an infinitely looping message in a window from another site that I guess it tried to redirect me to.

I've never been redirected. Coming from the US with Firefox 3.5.3 (and earlier versions) with AdBlock and Mac OS X 10.4.

Re: are other people being redirected by ads?
I've think I may have had one or two redirections. I would click on a forum link. Jump back over to one of my other open tabs for a few minutes. Then I would come back to what I though was the tab i used for the forum and it wasn't the forum. But I would hit backspace and be back on the forums.

This kind of baffles me....
Ben or whoever, put up these ads to make money to keep the site alive.... but now we're looking at ways to prevent them. - Kinda like killing the forums
But on the other hand the ads aren't always appropriate, so basically what I'm trying to get at is that the ad company should be changes, or other methods of raising funds should be found.

I've gotten redirected various times before, the first time it happened I thought something was up with my PC until I noticed it only happens on this site. Its pretty annoying when it does happen. (US, Windows 7 Retail/RTM 64bit, Firefox 3.5.3)

It seems the ad demons have upped the ante. I clicked on the "NES in a cartridge" thread in News and about 20 AntiVir alerts like this one happened.
