I know I've suggested this directly, but just wanted to open it for discussion. It would be nice to have moderators on shifts or something so we know who to actually go to with a problem or question.
Pros and cons?

Re: Scheduled Mods
This was discussed between us mods. Coincidentally enough, we all happen to be on at decent hours. I don't think anyone of much is on between 2:00AM and 6:00AM PST, so there's no reason to have a moderator on at these times. I really don't see the problem with the staff's timeliness. However, spambots will be spambots; so we'll need to install some type of prevention for that.

Re: Scheduled Mods
I'm pretty much always logged in from 9:30 AM to 1:30 AM the next day, every day, because without the Internet I have no social life.

Re: Scheduled Mods
I'm online a lot. I think many of us have AIM or other IM clients, if there's something that needs action just send us a message to get our attention.

In other words: The Mods have no life, so they are here to help
Just Kidding.
I think that the only problem with Scheduled Mods is that if someone can't get on the computer on their shift, then who can you go to for help?

That's a good point.AfroLH wrote:I think that the only problem with Scheduled Mods is that if someone can't get on the computer on their shift, then who can you go to for help?
And I thought all the mods were on a lot less so I guess the point is moot. Thanks for stating when you're usually online.

Re: Scheduled Mods
This is a forum, not a business. No one's going to desperately need a modding question answered at 4AM
