I've been looking at getting a nintendo ique player, but on ebay they never show pictures or anything of the usb adapter.
This would be used for downloading games to your flash cart via ique@home. I can't really tell because everything is in Chinese, but can you still buy games from ique@home?
Lastly they say the systems are ntsc. I know everything will still be in chinese, but will it plug into a U.S. outlet?
Was the ique usb adapter ever released?

I'm pretty positive it will work with no modding. Japan's power and tv standards should be the same since we did a lot of the rebuilding of their infrastructure after World War 2 and used our standards. We also gave them baseball.

The USB adapter is included on new units. It is nothing special, just a cable. For old ones, it is very easy to hook up a normal USB cable.
You can still buy games, but you need a redemption code that can only be obtained in China. Sucks to live anywhere else, eh?

Thanks for the help.
If I get one of these I'd kind of like to get a cypress fx2 dev board and make something to dump the contents of the 64mb memory card. Kind of like on crazynation. I'd just kind of compare it to an n64 game, try make some translations maybe... just for fun.
I can't seem to find a cypress fx2 dev board though.

Re: Was the ique usb adapter ever released?
So where's the best place to buy an ique player? ebay at $90 + $12 for each additional game?
Do people ever sell memory cards with the games on them on yahoo auctions japan or anything?
Are the redemption codes still sold in Japan / China / wherever it comes from or are they pretty much done with the ique player now?

The seller I talked to on eBay wanted $8 for each additional game, I believe he asked for more, but he told me in an email he would do $8. And sadly, yes, eBay is your best option.
Anyhow, PM the seller, the games cost them a little over $6 for them, so they are usually glad to take a few minutes to make a few extra dollars, and to seal the sale.
I bring justice to its avoiders, and pain to its resistors.
