Bad ads

Bad ads

I just got an ad on one of the threads (I think for that amazing N64 with the custom PCB), that redirected to its own page. It was for Zone Alarm.

Anybody else seen this?

You mean it redirected without you clicking on it? Do you have ZoneAlarm installed?

Ben said on his Twitter that he's sorry, but he had to put up a few new ads. It didn't redirect me, it just pooped up a new window.

Yes. No



He might have to look into other companies for the ADs. Computer Forums had a similar problem, and they had to switch companies.

But they might pay less. Either that, or somebody got him banned by clicking on the ads too many times.

I suppose I like the evony ads more than anything. Makes me sound like a pig but oh well. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't mind saying its nice to have pretty people to look at, but I'm happy it's not horribly distasteful.

It's not terribly unusual among men in reproductive age to feel attraction towards women. That doesn't make you a pig. If anything those ads are deceptive, unless there's more to that game than what's visible when you click the ad.

However, my comment was not concerned with any of that. Rather, it was a response to 64M320N3's and bicostp's notion that the forums are only displaying Google ads.
