thoughts on the GBE

yeah, right now the games for it aren't too great .....but just wait until late summer/fall (Castlevania, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart)

The FULL version of Metroid Prime: Hunters. (I love the demo, but I want more...)

In all seriousness, what would you all speculate it will look like and how it's design will figure out?

Yeah, Mario and Zelda are good, but Nintendo is really due for some new material.

Don't kill me here (for being off-topic and borderline-illeigal) but HyperDS is the first ever DS Emulator. Great Work Guys We can now play those homebrew games (not sure if DS flash carts are available yet)

The DS needs the following:
-some online support
-some type of flashcart for playin homebrews, roms, what have you
-some more games
-some emulators for other systems to use with those flash carts
Once someone gets a flashcart for the DS, I think a lot of cool apps and tha like will be available.

Remember, the DS needs a Speak & Spell Simulator Too!

I hope it will have/do the following:

run on GC sized discs and will be able to run GC games.
Will have a hardrive, for music and built in save instead of buying costly memory sticks.
and really if they do that, im set. oh yeah, and no "disney" channel features (touch screen)

**There's a device called the Passme, you connect it between the DS cart slot and the DS game, you then load your homebrew game onto a GBA flash cart, and plug it into the GBA port. The passme, tells the DS theres a DS cart in, instead of a GBA cart, allowing the game on the GBA flash cart to be played like a DS games, with all the buttons, both screens, etc.

What the GBE and DS DON'T NEED:

-Cartoon Network games

-Nickelodeon Games

-The same games you bought 8 years ago for a 2-generations-back system crunched into a postage-stamp sized card

-(GBE Only) Touch Screen, Hinged lid

I dont like scratched screens, so I do like hinged portables.

But you have to admit Nintendo pushed the toch screen a lot th the ds advertising, and skimped out on a lot of other stuff.

Ahh, SNES, how I loved you. I remember my carefree school boy days, when I went to my friend's everyday, and beat almost every game ever made. Seriously though, the DS was one of Nintendo's biggest mistakes. They jumped to get the touch screen out, and said "screw it!" for the rest of the quality. The touch screen was nothing but propaganda.

not the bigest mistake no matter how much the DS sucks now it can never take the place of the most non sold system ever... THE VERTUAL BOY!

The Virtual Boy has some great games (did any of you guys know Rare were porting Goldeneye to Virtual Boy?), but the horrible Red and Migrain giving display is unforgiveable.

yeah all i mean is I dont know any one else with a vertual boy but i know a lot of people with DS's (a lot more are saving up for psp's)

so far there are pas through carts to play ds games off of the gba slot.
