Post by JackFrost22 »

Type

Code: Select all

-inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 "any song or artist name"
into the search box and get free mp3s and since they are no openly shared they are legal and because they are on public domain servers. Have fun

Lycos has something similar, and it's pretty easy to get warez things. Couldn't you also type mpg or avi instead of mp3 to get videos?

Yes, I just tried it and it works! :D

Or you could use yahoo video search. (They have no audio searches.)

Just copy this into Google:

Code: Select all

-inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 "any song or artist name"
Then just change the part that says "any song or artist name" to whatever music you want, for example here is what I typed:

Code: Select all

-inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 "Super Mario"

If a page has an "Index of:
  • " structure, it means it's running a basic apache file server. That means if you find the name of the file you're looking for, you've basically got the file (unlike a normal webpage where it could just be a word mentioned).

That just tells Google to ignore HTML pages (like the homepage and Yahoo) and just search the directories of public servers. It's like a cross between ftp and http.
