Heatsink. Large as you can fit. Hot glue might get soft or even melt under that heat.

I've got no clue whats up with the audio. I did make it stero, not mono, and I went back over all the solder connections. Are the speakers just peaking... at half volume?

I didn't get time to order the battery yet, but I should have some time on Friday, so I should be able to get it then, as well as the resistors I need for the 7805.
a small update on the audio issue... Even headphones come in fuzzy, so I don't think its the speakers. Time for google.

Probably not, it sounds like it might be the snes.
Try drawing the audio directly from the chip:
The SNES audio IC is a little 8-pin chip near the capacitors. There's a picture or two somewhere, but I can't find it for the life of me. Trace the lines backwards from the A/V adapter and you'll find it. I believe the two outer pins facing the rear of the board are left and right audio. Give it a try.

You know I'm using a retro duo right? Cuz I don't see an 8 pin IC. I'll keep looking though... But first I'm going to hook up the noac portion and see if the audio works on my tv.
