HELP! PSone S-video mod!!!
Okay, i modded the PAL PSone screen to make it take S-video.
It Worked, but no colors or sound and the picture was jumping around like a retard.
I Used a 220 uF 16V capisitor.
Capisitor - to the screen and + chroma IN.
Luma to compasite on screen.
What did i do wrong?

For composite (and svideo) sound you need to connect the L and R audio here :

the other audio input (slot 2 pin 9 and 10) are for RGB mode audio input.
I suppose no colors means the Chroma input is not working.
What console are you trying to connect to the screen ? Did the svideo out of this console already worked on a TV before ?

Re: HELP! PSone S-video mod!!!
So you bought a Gamecube S-video cable, cut the svideo connector and connected the wires to the screen ? or did you solder directly from the gamecube board ? Can you show us a picture of your mod ?
Just thought about something : I have a NTSC screen, and when I connect a PAL 50hz signal the picture is black and white and jumping.
It's probably the same problem, 60Hz NTSC signal to a PAL 50Hz screen....
You need to buy a Gamecube and a screen from the same region...

Conected straight from the MOBO to screen.
Someone else told me that if i modded the screen, i could give it 60hz.

To my knowledge, svideo mod won't help you displaying 60Hz to your PAL psone screen ...

Re: HELP! PSone S-video mod!!!
Some other guy told me that is would work and S video is a NTSC format. NTSC is 60hz.
That means that is the screen can take S-video, it must take 60 hz.

Re: HELP! PSone S-video mod!!!
Well, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Video
So it seems that s-video is not only a 60Hz NTSC signalWhat distinguishes S-Video from these better component-video schemes is that S-Video carries the color information as one signal. This means that the color has to be encoded in some way, and as such, NTSC, PAL, and SECAM signals are all decidedly different through S-Video.

Yes I suppose...
I bought my ntsc screen from this seller, shipped in 10 days to France and cost me 60€ shipping included. I think it's a good price...

NTSC is 60 Hz. That screen is presumably NTSC (shipping from US).
